Christmas Ladies Night 2015

Saturday 19 December, the Shed held it's third annual "Christmas Ladies Night" to which the ladies are not only invited by their men, but the meal is prepared, cooked and served by them! Although numbers were down a little from last year, those attending had a great time. The menu consisted of a starter of pumpkin soup with garlic bread, main course of chicken and panko sauce, baked potato, carrot and pumpkin mash and peas (salmon for the non-meat eaters), followed by fruit platters of water melon, rock melon, strawberries and grapes. To drink, red and white wine were provided. Many thanks to Bruce for organising the event (once again!), supervising the cooking and serving. Very well done! (Special mention to Chris for all the clearing up)

Christmas Market

On Sunday 6 December we took part in the Christmas Market day, this time being an afternoon and evening session. Unfortunately for the organisers and stalls holders, the weather was somewhat inclement, with heavy rain on Saturday continuing into Sunday morning. Fortunately, things improved and by the time the marquee was set up, it was down to a few short bursts of rain. Consequently visitors to our spot were in short supply to start with, the first shift of volunteers making a whopping $20! They were followed by the "A Team" who did quite well, but were pipped by the "Real Team" in sales! The total for the day was well down on our bumper day the previous Market, but worth turning up for. The "bin-puller", designed and constructed by Chris 2 (Father Christmas), was a great success and helped the clean up greatly. Very many thanks to all those who gave of their time and Utes!
